Sarah moved to Nampa, Idaho in the summer of 2011. She was born and raised in Oklahoma where she met her husband, Stephen, while serving as a ministerial intern at a local church. Stephen is now a professor at Northwest Nazarene University and they have four boys.
Sarah graduated from Southern Nazarene University with her bachelors in Christian Education followed by an MA in Theology in 2002. She then served part-time at Trinity Church of the Nazarene in Duncanville, TX as an Associate Pastor for nine years. She was ordained Elder in the Church of the Nazarene on the Dallas District in 2005.
Sarah has also worked in the senior industry, directing an independent living community - an experience she values for the people she met and served and for the lessons she learned in leadership and management.
Sarah was called to lead Real Life in September of 2016. She serves with the words of her favorite passage in mind, “And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge- that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” Ephesians 3:17b-19
In her spare time, Sarah loves listening to books and podcasts, watching movies with Stephen, and cuddling up with her boys to read.
Associate Pastor: General and Young Adult Ministries
Linsey grew up in the Northwest and currently lives in Nampa, Idaho with her husband, Javin and young daughter, Aria.
Linsey felt a desire from a very young age to help others. But always thought it would be in the mental health field. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Clinical Psychology in 2009 from Northwest Nazarene University and spent 4 years working in social work and mental health positions. During these ventures, Linsey worked with refugees, foster youth, pregnant or parenting teens, college students, individuals with mental health needs, and low-income families.
In 2010, while applying for graduate programs in psychology, Linsey felt called to pursue ministry within a church setting. Linsey came to Real Life in the fall of 2011 and graduated with her Master of Divinity from Northwest Nazarene University in 2015. Linsey is an ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene.
When she has time for fun, Linsey enjoys painting, cooking, drawing, ice-skating, watching movies, learning about nutrition, and meeting friends for coffee. Linsey loves sushi and Mexican food and admits she could probably eat them every day.
Associate Pastor: Adults and Compassionate Ministries
Debbie and her husband Michael make their home in Nampa, Idaho. Raised in rainy Washington, she still loves rain and thinks it doesn’t rain nearly enough! Instead, she sees God’s grace raining out all around her, pouring over into people’s lives. She is passionate about helping people see how God is at work in their lives and walking alongside them as they grow to become more like Christ. Quick with a smile or a welcoming hug, Debbie is always ready for a deep conversation or for a laugh.
Debbie came to Nampa to attend Northwest Nazarene University, graduating with a Bachelor or Arts degree in Christian Ministries, minor in Missions, then attended Nazarene Theological Seminary in Kansas City, MO, to earn her Master of Divinity and a Diploma in Cross-Cultural Studies. She spent the first year of her MDiv living and serving with the Church of the Nazarene in Bulgaria before moving back to the Treasure Valley to serve. She was an assistant pastor at Valley Shepherd Church of the Nazarene before coming to Real Life. Debbie currently holds her District Ministers License and is pursuing ordination.
For fun, Debbie enjoys reading, hiking, swimming, listening to podcasts, and just being outdoors in general.
Associate Pastor: Youth and Their Families
Kenton was born and raised in Nampa, Idaho. He is the founder of Because International and the creator of their first project The Shoe That Grows. After spending time living at a small orphanage in Kenya he had the idea for a shoe that could expand its size. It took six years to work on the idea. But he and his friends succeeded in developing a shoe that can grow five sizes and last for years. The cause accidentally went viral in 2015. And now there are over 200,000 pairs of The Shoe That Grows on the feet of kids in over 100 countries.
In addition to Because International, Kenton is also an ordained Elder in the Church of the Nazarene and served as the Lead Pastor of The Table Church in Nampa before eventually landing at Real Life with his family.
Kenton loves to read and he’s a big fan of doing things around Downtown Nampa - coffee, community events, and all the local stuff. He also loves being outdoors here in beautiful Idaho and hanging out with his wife, Nikki, and their two adorable kids.
Director of Music Ministries
Nate grew up as a missionary kid in Malawi, Africa, and felt a call to ministry while in his high school youth group. He moved to the Boise Valley in 2011 when God called him to Boise State University, where he worked with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship on campus and earned his bachelor's degree in Philosophy.
In 2016, after the birth of their son, Eli, Nate and his wife Madison were looking for a church closer to their home in Nampa. They were warmly welcomed by the community of Real Life and made it their new home church. Around the same time, Nate began his position as an admissions counselor at Northwest Nazarene University and proceeded to begin his Master of Divinity at NNU, becoming fully immersed and welcomed into the family that is the Nazarene Church. He officially joined the Real Life staff as Director of Music Ministry in 2018.
Worshipping God with and through music has been a significant aspect of Nate's relationship with God, and leading congregational worship music has been a wonderful part of his life since his middle school days. He is overjoyed to be leading the worship team and music ministry at Real Life.
For fun, Nate enjoys reading fantasy novels, making silly faces and sound effects with his son, quoting Parks and Rec, playing card games and table games, and laughing with his wife, Madi, and their friends until he can barely breathe.
